Ricardo joined OEG Energy Group as Non-Executive Chairman in October 2024.
Ricardo started his career in 1977 with Price Waterhouse in London. In 1983 he joined Schlumberger where he held various financial positions of increasing seniority, working in France, Indonesia, Brazil, Venezuela, Italy and the United Kingdom. In 2000 he joined Transocean as Vice President and Controller based in Houston Texas, subsequently taking the role of Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Middle East in Singapore and then for Europe and Africa in France before being appointed Transocean’s Executive Vice President and CFO located in Switzerland. In 2012 he joined Subsea 7 as CFO based in London and held that position until his retirement in 2021. Since his retirement he has been active as a business consultant in oilfield services and as a trustee of an operatic charity. Ricardo has a M.A. in Modern Languages from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Ricardo is a citizen of both Brazil and the United Kingdom.

John joined OEG as Chief Executive Officer in 2008.
Responsible for driving the growth of OEG in its market from #5 in the UK to #1 globally.
John was previously Head of Corporate & Structured Finance at RBS Aberdeen.

Tom Murray
Tom joined OEG Energy Group as Chief Financial Officer in October 2024.
Tom is a qualified chartered accountant, and an experienced CFO who has held senior finance roles at large private and FTSE listed businesses focused on the provision of rental equipment to various industrial sectors. Before joining OEG, he was Interim Finance Director for Marshall Land Systems, and prior to that, he served as CFO of Algeco UK, a PE owned modular building construction and rental business.
Further previous roles include being Finance Director of Loxam’s Powered Access Division, Nationwide Platforms and Oxford Instruments. He also spent twelve years in various senior finance roles at ESSAB Group, a global engineering group.
Billy has over 20 years of experience within the marine civils, ports and renewables sectors and is a valuable member of the OEGR leadership team.

Dave Carr
David joined OEG Energy Group as Chief Commercial Officer in January 2024.
Responsible for leveraging opportunities across the Group, developing new markets and business lines, and delivering long term value to our customers and shareholders.
Previously Senior Vice President at Helix Energy Solutions Group where he secured global service agreements with major corporates like Exxon Mobil and Chevron and developed new business models in the decommissioning and offshore renewables segments.
David holds a first-class Mechanical Engineering degree from Salford University and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.

Arran Mackenzie
Arran joined OEG Energy Group as General Counsel in June 2024.
In her role, Arran will sit on the Group executive committee and advise the business on all legal, M&A, risk, compliance and corporate governance matters.
Arran has more than 19 years of corporate finance experience in the energy sector with a particular focus on M&A and private equity investments. Previously, Arran was Partner at Addleshaw Goddard LLP, and prior to that spent over 17 years working at Burness Paull LLP.

Anthony Moss
Anthony initially joined OEG in a project capacity and now holds the position of Chief of Staff. In this role, he is responsible for the implementation of strategic initiatives and facilitation between the Board and the wider OEG group. Prior to becoming Chief of Staff, Anthony worked on various OEG projects with a worldwide reach. He also played a key role in integrating two major competitors into OEG operations and reporting during a period of growth.
Anthony became a Chartered Accountant in 2000 (ICAEW) and gained experience in advisory roles with Big Four accounting firms. In 2011, he relocated to Aberdeen and after a brief stint in the Banking sector (Acquisition Finance) and a senior finance position at a start-up subsea engineering business, he joined OEG in 2015.

Caroline Merson
Caroline joined OEG Energy Group as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer in February 2024.
She is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the OEG Energy Group brand and developing and driving the execution of the company’s marketing and communications strategy across its target markets.
Previously, Caroline was the Marketing & Communications Director at Ashtead Technology, where she led the company’s brand and marketing function and supported the business with its successful IPO on London’s AIM market. Prior to this, she held senior marketing & communication roles at Glacier Energy, Subsea 7 and Proserv.

Paula Richardson
Paula joined OEG as Chief Human Resources Officer in January 2025. She holds Chartered Fellowship with the CIPD and has over 24 years’ experience in a breadth of HR disciplines covering talent acquisition, training & competency, employee relations, reward, leadership development and organisational integration. Prior to joining OEG, she was Chief People Officer at Donaldson Group and spent 22 years working at National Oilwell Varco, where she held various senior international HR positions.

Joanne Barbour
Group Corporate Development and M&A Manager
Responsible for the initiation, evaluation, and completion of acquisitions, to execute OEG's growth strategy to expand the service offering and global footprint.
Joanne qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG and has 15 years’ experience in corporate finance working as an advisor and as part of a private equity backed energy company on multiple acquisitions globally, predominantly in energy markets.
