Core purpose
Operating from the OEG Renewables Taiwan Control Point located near Taichung port, you will be part of a growing team of engineers providing inspection, testing and maintenance on operational assets of critical HV infrastructure.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Integrate into the Taiwan NRG Control Point and operations family
- Support and contribute to the team’s culture of excellence
- Work within a team environment to:
- execute inspections and testing of client’s low voltage and mechanical systems
- carry out inspections on clients high voltage equipment
- complete reports post execution of inspection and testing
- Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
- Ensure daily communication and coordination with the NRG Control Point.
- Support the 7 days a week operational shift pattern
- Adapting to changing operational needs and ensuring continuous support for network operations and maintenance activities
QHSE responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.
Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and experiences

A strong approach to safe working practices

Excellent communication skills

Basic use of Microsoft Office 365 suite

A Proven track record in electrical and mechanical Installation, ideally significant previous experience with the various OEM WTGS and HV Infrastructure.

Highly desirable electrical apprenticeship or equivalent
-
The ability to meet the requirements of GWO O&G Offshore Medical and survival certificates is essential.

Previous experience in electrical aspects of an offshore wind farm – substations, array cable and WTGS

Previous exposure to electrical and mechanical safety rules.

Competent in ensuring a ‘Safe System of Work’ and following electrical and mechanical safety procedures.

Capable of overseeing electrical activities for the purpose of inspection and testing, technical review and operational duties.

Competent in the following RAMS to ensure a ‘Safe System of Work’ is maintained.

Confident and experienced in remote working and travel

Fluent in both spoken and written English

Proficiency in a local language

Qualifications in electrical or mechanical technology are required, with a strong foundation in practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline.
