Core purpose

  • To provide strategic and technical leadership for the High Voltage (HV) service line, ensuring operational readiness, driving market expansion, and aligning with global business development objectives, with a specific focus on the APAC region.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Strategic Operational Support:

  • Ensure operational capabilities are aligned with departmental business development goals.

  • Assess and optimise internal processes to support new business initiatives.

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies within go-to-market operations to ensure seamless execution and delivery.

Market Expansion Planning:

  • Advise on and support operational readiness for entering new markets or launching new services.

  • Support assessments of logistics, compliance, staffing, and technology requirements to enable successful business expansion.

  • Identify opportunities to expand service scope within regional operations, with a particular focus on the APAC region.

Key Account Management:

  • Act as the High Voltage (HV) Market Specialist and primary liaison for client engagement.

  • Ensure all business opportunities are thoroughly evaluated and delivered to meet or exceed client expectations.

  • Support the High Voltage (HV) team’s development and expansion into new service areas.

  • Collaborate closely with the Topside team to deliver project scopes and support localisation initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the liaison between Business Development and the High Voltage (HV) service lines to ensure alignment and effective communication.

  • Translate strategic plans into actionable tasks for the High Voltage (HV) team and wider divisions.

Metrics and Performance Analysis:

  • Define key performer indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive business development-related operations.

  • Analyse performance data and report findings and improvement opportunities to leadership.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential operational risks in business development strategies.

  • Develop and propose mitigation plans for operational and compliance-related risks.

Advisory and Leadership:

  • Provide insights on resource planning, timelines, and feasibility to support the effective execution of initiatives.

  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and represent the High Voltage (HV) function in leadership discussions.

QHSE responsibilities

To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.

Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Strong proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • High Voltage (HV) (33/11kV) operational certification(s) preferred.

  • Certifications related to offshore and renewables industries are advantageous.
