Core purpose

Operate the Water Jet Machine and support a range of workshop activities to ensure high‑quality output and smooth departmental operations.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Operate and maintain the Water Jet Machine to a consistently high standard.

Monitor cutting processes and adjust settings to meet quality and accuracy requirements.

Ensure all work is completed in line with engineering work instructions and company procedures.

Produce precise components and accurately interpret technical drawings.

Participate in monthly waterjet material stock checks.

Carry out workshop activities, including drilling and tapping of materials.

Support ongoing contracts during quieter periods, including bulk fluid handling and local deliveries.

Work flexibly to meet operational demands.

Undertake any other relevant duties as required.
QHSE responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.
Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and experiences

Experience in a similar workshop or machining environment.

Experience using 'Flow Mach 200’ Waterjet machine or similar.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Comfortable using a computer.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.

A flexible, proactive, and safety focused approach.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
