OEG wins new framework for Ørsted’s UK wind farms

OEG has built a strong, long-standing relationship with Ørsted over the past decade, delivering service, maintenance, and repair solutions across its UK offshore wind portfolio. Building on this successful partnership, OEG has now secured a new agreement to provide statutory inspection services, further expanding its support to Ørsted.

The multi-million-pound contract, awarded following a competitive tender process, spans five years with two optional two-year extensions and will be delivered by OEG’s offshore wind topside services team.

Ørsted currently operates 12 offshore wind farms in the UK, generating a total capacity of 5.6 GW - enough green energy to power almost six million homes annually. Building on frameworks won in 2016 and 2021, this award highlights OEG’s proven track record, reliability, and the strength of its long-term relationship with Ørsted.

Approximately 50 personnel will be deployed to deliver the work, with OEG enhancing its team further through the recruitment of new technicians and apprentices. These appointments will retain critical skills in the UK energy sector while creating new workforce opportunities.

OEG Topside Director Billy Hamilton said:

“This latest award reinforces OEG’s standing as a trusted long-term partner to the global offshore wind leader. Securing this framework for a third consecutive time in the UK is a strong endorsement of our expertise and the value we deliver to Ørsted’s operations. Our topsides team brings deep technical knowledge and a proven ability to execute critical inspection and maintenance services safely and efficiently.

“Equally important, this award allows us to invest in people retaining essential skills, creating new opportunities and developing the next generation of offshore wind talent needed to support the UK’s growing sector.”

This award builds on OEG’s expanding international footprint. In 2025, the company’s topsides team entered the US offshore wind market through a multi-year framework agreement with Ørsted for its Northeastern projects. In the same year, it also secured a three-year contract under Ørsted’s German framework, in place since 2020, to provide crane and lift servicing, inspection, and maintenance across six offshore wind farms.
