About the speaker

Following a 22-year military career with the REME, Gary began instructing GWO Technical and Basic Safety Training courses in 2014. Since then, Gary has project managed the acquisition and accreditation of two GWO training centre, while overseeing the operations of a third.

Gary is passionate about supporting military personnel and veterans in securing employment within the wind energy sector and has contributed to the development of a Level 3 ELCAS course.

Gary’s experience combines technical expertise, leadership, and a strong commitment to creating clear, accessible pathways for workforce transition from military to renewable energy careers.

As Head of Training for OEG’s Topside Division, Gary is responsible for the continued development of our training facilities and is instrumental in ensuring that our training courses are delivered to the highest industry standards.
