OEG’s OPITO approved helicopter refuelling training course provides essential knowledge for personnel refuelling helicopters offshore. Helicopter Landing Officers (HLOs) and Helideck Assistants (HDAs) learn to perform maintenance activities in line with CAP 437 standards and JET A-1 quality control requirements.

Course entry requirements
The required training prerequisites for Helicopter Refuelling Training is to have one of the following:
- An OPITO Helideck Operations Initial Training (HOIT) Certificate (achieved within the past two years)
- A valid OPITO HDA or HLO Workplace Competence Assessment Certificate.
- A valid OPITO Helideck Emergency Response Team Member Training (HERTM) or Further HERTM Certificate.
- A valid OPITO Helideck Emergency Response Team Leader (HERTL) or Further HERTL Training Certificate.
- A valid OPITO HLO for NUI Operations Training Certificate.
- A valid industry-recognised certificate or qualification which ensures an understanding of offshore Helideck Operations
