Core purpose
The role involves assisting with coordination of Electrical activities to maximise efficiency and to ensure product quality is maintained. The Electrician will ensure that the control of work on site is maintained, and all activities are carried out as per procedure. Liaising with other team members and departments including interacting with managers/leads of different areas of the organization.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Liaise with Supervisors to determine and prioritise workloads.

Preparation of electrical materials & equipment.

Installation/commissioning of non-hazardous and hazardous area electrical equipment.

On-going maintenance, testing, fault finding and repair of existing assets including completion of all associated paperwork.

Co-ordinate with other disciplines to ensure activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Provide progress updates to Supervisor/Team Lead on job status.

Carrying out offsite work/offshore work as required.

Participating in the management of HSE within own area of responsibility.

Delivering quality within own area of responsibility.

Liaising with clients, 3rd party inspectors and surveyor.
QHSE responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.
Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Interpretation of electrical drawings.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Experience from the oil and gas industry, preferable but not essential.

Fully qualified Electrician through supporting body e.g: SQA, City & Guilds.

CompEx certified or country equivalent.
-
IEE Wiring Regulations or country equivalent.
