Core purpose

The role involves assisting with coordination and control of outfitting activities to maximise efficiency and to ensure product quality is maintained. The Joiner/Outfitter will ensure that the control of work on site is maintained, and all activities are carried out as per procedure. Liaising with other team members and departments including interacting with managers/leads of different areas of the organisation.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Liaise with Supervisors to determine and prioritise workloads

  • Preparation of materials for assembly

  • Installation of Insulation, linings, ceilings, floor coverings, doors, windows, furniture and finishing’s

  • On-going maintenance and repair of existing assets including completion of all associated paperwork

  • Co-ordinate with other disciplines to ensure activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner

  • Provide progress updates to Supervisor/Team Lead on job status

  • Carrying out offsite work/offshore work as required

  • Participating in the management of HSE within own area of responsibility

  • Delivering quality within own area of responsibility.

QHSE responsibilities

To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.

Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

  • Interpretation of technical drawings

  • A well organised individual with an ability to prioritise

  • Excellent technical knowledge with proactive approach to problem solving experience

  • Good at analysing situations and informing decision-makers of any potential barriers to effective project execution

  • Effective team player and good communicator

  • Calm under pressure and effective in meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience from the oil and gas industry, preferable but not essential
  • Full qualified Joiner/Outfitter through supporting body e.g. SQA, City & Guilds.
