Core purpose

To ensure the safe and compliant transportation of cargo by thoroughly inspecting containers, baskets, and other cargo carrying units prior to load out, and accurately completing all required documentation in line with operational and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Performing live Cargo Summary Ticket (CST) checks.

  • Conducting full mobilisation checks.

  • Use a tablet device to complete and manage mobilisation sheets efficiently and accurately.

  • Support the operations team with ad-hoc tasks as required, both in the office and yard environment, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

QHSE responsibilities

To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.

Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and experiences

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and standards for inspecting offshore containers prior to shipment.

  • Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Proficient in the use of computer systems and digital tools, including tablets and relevant software applications.

Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications required; comprehensive in-house training will be provided.

  • Previous experience in a similar operational or inspection role is advantageous but not essential.
