Assist the Mobilisation Manager in preparing and delivering all necessary documentation, ensuring that every element of the mobilisation is carefully planned, documented, and executed.

By maximising upfront planning and preparation, the Mobilisation Engineer contributes to a smooth, cost-effective, and safe mobilisation process.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Review technical mobilisation documentation, including deck plans, structural reports, and vessel and system schematics.

Produce accurate deck layouts in CAD, detailing all equipment specifications and mobilisation arrangements.

Serve as the interface between project equipment and the mobilisation teams.

Develop detailed mobilisation and demobilisation plans, including accurate timelines.
-
Assist in preparing project call-off equipment lists for mobilisation activities.
-
Be available to attend the mobilisation site and coordinate on-site activities.

Prepare mobilisation notifications and distribute them to the wider project team.
-
Confidently manage on-site subcontractors during mobilisation phases.

Review and prepare mobilisation lift plans as required.

Develop a thorough understanding of project equipment operations.

Generate detailed schematics illustrating electrical and mechanical interfaces between project equipment and the vessel or installation.

Collaborate with procurement to prepare HRF/PRF documentation for mobilisation-related equipment.

Communicate with subcontractors before mobilisation regarding their scope of work, availability, shifts, and provided tooling.

Identify potential issues in advance and develop plans to address all possible scenarios.

Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBTs) on mobilisation activities with the relevant shift team.

Coordinate with the vessel bridge to generate hot work and work-at-height (WAH) permits during mobilisation.

Communicate with the logistics department on equipment delivery requirements, including export and entry procedures.

Conduct vessel visits to understand the vessel particulars and requirements for a specific mobilisation.
QHSE responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering or technical discipline (Mechanical/Structural), or equivalent industry experience.
