Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Research and implement technical developments in the subsea market to support current and future clients.

Conduct research and development tasks proactively and in a structured, methodical manner.

Coordinate the research and development roadmap to optimise future technical developments in collaboration with all relevant departments and stakeholders.

Identify and recommend market-driven improvements that are relevant and applicable to Bluestream.

Propose new processes, tools, or methods to improve upon current practices where needed.

Prepare proposals outlining project concept, goals, objectives, timeline, risk, and budget, followed by an implementation plan covering key milestones, deliverables, documentation, testing, and user handover.

Drive technical developments to enhance offshore operations.

Implement internal improvements to offshore systems to minimise breakdowns, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

Address client requests to optimise the performance of subsea tasks, reducing operational time, risks, and costs.

Monitor and report on changes to internal and external standards, as well as performance relative to those standards.

Analyse and diagnose recurring faults, identifying potential solutions for improvement.

Conduct research on company-wide investment decisions related to equipment and systems.

Prepare investment proposals for equipment purchases at managements request.

Report research and development project progress to management and project stakeholders.

Initiate and lead meetings and presentations with stakeholders to review research and development project progress.

Serve as a liaison between Bluestream and clients on technical developments.

Monitor advancements in electrical and electronic engineering, as well as ROV technologies.

Provide technical advice and support to all relevant departments and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with VCA and ISO standards.
QHSE responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.

Skills and experiences
-
Minimum of 1-3 years’ relevant experience in electrical, electronic, and ROV engineering.

Experience in the offshore industry is desirable but not essential.

Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
-
Experience in a project-based environment is preferable.

Good knowledge of relevant software programmes.
-
Good knowledge of industry standards and relevant legislation.
Qualifications

Higher technical education degree required.
