Core purpose

  • Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components of the equipment. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Conduct testing of all equipment. 

  • Ensure all assembly, testing, and repair activities are carried out in accordance with standard procedures and relevant quality standards (IMCA, WOD-SOE, IRATA, and Bluestream). 

  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety policies. 

  • Report as required on changes to standards (both internal and external) and on performance relative to those standards. 

  • Ensure that any changes to equipment or systems are fully authorised and supported by drawings and technical documentation, in accordance with established engineering procedures. 

  • Collaborate with subcontractors on system-related tasks.

  • Manage the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment and units both locally and internationally. 

  • Provide support for additional activities as required. 

  • Ensure compliance with SCC (VCA) and ISO standards. 

QHSE responsibilities

To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.

Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and experiences

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. 

  • Demonstrates a strong interest in pursuing a career in the offshore industry. 

  • Strong understanding of safe working practices for high-voltage electrical systems. 

  • Experienced in troubleshooting electrical equipment and related software. 

  • Experienced in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. 

  • Proficient in reading electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic line drawings. 

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written. 

  • Good knowledge of industry standards and relevant legislation compliance. 

  • Ability to assess and interpret information to make informed decisions. 

  • Strong capability in following instructions and established procedures accurately. 

  • Skilled at developing creative solutions and improving processes. 

  • Consistently delivering high-quality outcomes while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. 

Qualifications

  • Mid-level technical degree in pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical engineering. 

  • SCC (VCA) certified.
