Core purpose
Operating from the OEG Renewables Taiwan Control Point located near Taichung port, you will assume a role of dual responsibility. Firstly, management of both internal and external HV training leading to safety rules authorisations whilst secondly managing the daily operations of the electrical and mechanical technicians. This role will provide an engaging and varied scope with additional opportunities to contribute to business development forums and strategy.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Integrate into the Taiwan NRG Control Point & Operations Family

Support and contribute to the teams culture of excellence

Support training and development for all candidates (internal/external) including reviewing training packages
-
Planning and co-ordination of electrical and mechanical technician’s programme to deliver network operations and maintenance activities

Effective communication with clients

Represent APAC training and development in internal/external forums
-
Adapt to changing operational needs and ensuring continuous support for network operations and maintenance activities

Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and experiences

Strong approach to safe working practices

Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning

Excellent Office 365 skills

A Proven track record in an electrical and mechanical technology, ideally significant previous experience with the various OEM WTGS and HV LV Infrastructure.

Ability to meet the requirements of GWO O&G Offshore Medical and survival certificates are essential.

Previous experience of Electrical aspects of an offshore windfarm – Substations, Array Cable & WTGS

Previous exposure to Electrical and Mechanical Safety Rules.

Competent to ensure ‘Safe System of Work’ and the Electrical and Mechanical Safety Rules and procedures are followed.

Capable of overseeing electrical activities for the purpose of inspection and testing, technical review and operational duties.

Competent in the following RAMS to ensure ‘Safe System of Work’ is maintained.

Confident and Experienced in Remote working and Global Travel

Fluent in both spoken and written English

Proficiency in a local language

Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Technology are required, with a strong foundation in practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline.
