OEG’s Middle East region has successfully achieved certification to three internationally recognised ISO standards, following a comprehensive audit conducted by DNV. The certifications awarded are ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).
Abdul Khamis, Regional HSEQ Manager (Middle East)
The achievement represents a significant milestone for the region and reinforces its commitment to delivering the highest standards in quality, environmental responsibility, and occupational health and safety across all operations. The certification reflects a sustained and collective effort to strengthen processes, embed robust management systems, and align with global best practice. It demonstrates not only compliance with international standards, but also a strong foundation for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This was accomplished through the collaborative efforts of teams across the region. Their engagement and ownership helped ensure the required standards were effectively implemented and embedded into day-to-day operations. Their dedication and cooperation throughout the journey supported strong alignment with ISO requirements, while their focus on compliance, continuous improvement, and operational discipline played a critical role in achieving certification.
Throughout the process, OEG’s Group QHSE leadership team provided strategic direction and continued support, demonstrating its commitment to the resources and encouragement needed to enable the successful delivery and sustainability of these management systems.
Chris Kleinhans, Regional Director, Middle East, said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for our region and one that everyone involved should be extremely proud of. Securing certification across all three ISO standards is a clear demonstration of the team’s professionalism, commitment, and focus on excellence. Importantly, it also strengthens the confidence our customers can have in the way we operate, reinforcing our ability to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality services across the region.
“Special recognition goes to Abdul Khamis, Regional HSEQ Manager, whose diligence and leadership were instrumental in driving this strategic initiative. Abdul’s commitment to guiding the organisation through the implementation and certification process has been central to this success.”
Receiving these certifications is not only recognition of the progress made to date, but also a commitment to the future. The region will continue to enhance its processes, strengthen performance, protect the environment, and maintain a safe and healthy workplace for its people and stakeholders.
This milestone is a clear reflection of what can be achieved through strong leadership, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence.
