OEG Brazil renews Brazilian Navy laboratory accreditation through 2028
OEG is pleased to announce the renewal of its laboratory accreditation by the Brazilian Navy’s Directorate of Ports and Coasts (DPC), authorising the company to continue carrying out periodic inspections and testing of offshore portable tanks and metal intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) at its new facility in Macaé, Brazil.

Valid until 30 July 2028, the renewed accreditation confirms that OEG Brazil’s laboratory is authorised to perform these specialist services in accordance with Chapters 6.5 and 6.7 of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, International Maritime Organization MSC/Circ. 860 and Brazilian maritime standard NORMAM-321/DPC.
The accreditation supports the safe and compliant use of offshore tanks and metal IBCs involved in marine and offshore operations. By maintaining this specialist capability at its Macaé facility, OEG can manage periodic inspection and testing requirements locally, supporting equipment availability, quality assurance and operational readiness for customers across Brazil’s offshore energy sector.
