OEG secures three-year framework with ScottishPower Renewables for UK onshore blade maintenance

This agreement will see multiple teams of highly skilled, industry-certified OEG blade technicians deployed across all sites from 2026 and beyond. The company’s specialists bring extensive experience from a track record of successful global projects. In 2025 alone, they supported 48 onshore and offshore wind campaigns, inspecting over 1,000 blades and completing more than 60 complex repairs.

As part of this scope for ScottishPower Renewables, OEG will implement its own Wind Turbine Safety Rules, developed over the last 12 months to set a structured, high-standard approach to supporting wind farm developers and operators.

Bryn Roberts, OEG’s Head of Blades, said:

“This three-year framework award recognises the exceptional work our back-office and field service teams consistently deliver, as well as our ongoing commitment to safety and quality. At the heart of our services is strict adherence to our newly developed Wind Turbine Safety Rules, which act as an additional industry standard for our blade operations globally.

“We are proud to work alongside ScottishPower Renewables to enhance the reliability and efficiency of their onshore assets, and we look forward to our technicians performing successful critical works onsite.”

In 2025, OEG also signed multiple framework agreements for blade maintenance and repair work and expanded into the APAC region and Scandinavia for wind turbine blade solutions, reinforcing its global leadership in lifecycle support for wind energy assets.
